The Digital Years
2000 to 2022
My web career began with Bigfish crafting cartoons and websites for their clientele. As a developer for many years creating a variety of animated content I slowly watched the industry transform from desktop to mobile and now wearable devices. A lot of changes in a very small amount of time. In 2010 I was promoted to the Digital Producer role while at Publicis Mojo Brisbane. Responsible for a team of developers, I found it an enjoyable challenge balancing priorities and deadlines. Learning quickly through the years that good communication & collaboration was essential to strong team bonds. Recently with Liquid State as project manager of the app development pipeline, my role was centered around coordinating developers and resources to see major projects were delivered on budget and on time. With a heavy focus on international client relations this role was a great challenge and only served to strengthen my abilities in digital project management.
At present I’m with iFactory in Brisbane as Project Manager of web development which includes managing an active client portfolio of approximately forty B2B client websites and digital assets. My strengths are an ability to collaborate closely with teams and a practical understanding of development logistics. Keeping a calm head and having patience is essential to seeing the corners of a project in finer detail. The enjoyment of seeing projects delivered with a high degree of quality is a fulfilling personal goal. The need for processes while remaining flexible and integrating feedback is a virtue learned through understanding agile & scrum values and principles. I’ll always look for efficiency in a system.
