888 Race Day

The car they use for the Hot Laps on the promo day is not the actual race car you see on the TV. This car was a high-powered V6 version built from the standard road legal Ford with the additional safety features like the roll cage. Having said that Jamie Whincup still managed to get the car beyond 110km/h for some of the slower corners. It was a fantastic experience to be driven around that track by one of the greatest V8 Supercar drivers and one which I will not forget.
