My Career

Skills & Experience
1988 — 2022

My career has not been exactly normal when it comes to the digital industry. In 1999 I discovered Flash animation and it completely changed my life & my career.

Up until that point I believed I was a designer for the sign industry. I had no idea why I liked animation so much but I did find it came easy to me. Between 1999 and 2001 I began to transition my career and began my personal digital odyssey. I stumbled my way through what was a new and continually changing digital industry. It had been a challenge to say the least as there were no courses to guide a new career as a developer. It was a lot of all-nighters and long weekends that eventually got many jobs over the line. There are now many courses offered to the new digitally inclined person to help usher them into this industry. And now as the industry is evolving for it’s fourth time, new exciting opportunities are opening up yet again. The following career information is divided into the Analog (before) 2000 and Digital (after) 2000.

Career 1988 to 2000

Previous to my work as a digital developer I was a sign designer and commercial artists for the sign industry. This is where my career began and where I started my fascination with computers and design. Computers were just starting to become design capable enabling designers to realize new marketing opportunities.
